Have you ever paused to wonder what was God thinking when He made you? Maybe life has told you that you’re not enough.
Maybe circumstances have left you feeling like an afterthought, a mistake, or just another face in the crowd. But friend, let me tell you something life changing today: God dreamed about you long before you took your first breath.
You are not an accident. You are not a random act. You are a handcrafted masterpiece, deeply loved and deliberately designed by a God who delights in you. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” (Jer 1:5)
Before your parents even thought about you, God already did. Before the world labelled you, God named you.
Before you had a chance to do anything right or wrong, He already loved you completely.
Isn’t that overwhelming? The Creator of the universe thought about YOU. He knew your laugh, your quirks, your ta-lents, and even the mistakes you’d make, and still, He chose to bring you into this world. “For you created my inmost being; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:13-14).
God didn’t throw you together. The Bible says He knitted you together, like a master artisan weaving the finest tapestry. Every detail, your personality, your abilities, your passions, were chosen with care. And then… He smiled. “God saw all that He had made, and it was very good.” (Gen 1:31)
You weren’t just part of the crowd when He said “it is good” you were in His heart and mind. “For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jer 29:11)
Read that again slowly. He knows the plans. They’re not haphazard, not second-hand, not leftover blessings. They are YOUR plans, crafted with love. Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”
Do you see it? Before you lived a single day, He dreamed of the good things you would do, the people you would touch, and the life you would live. God actually delights in You!
“The Lord your God is with you… He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zep 3:17).
Pause and imagine this: The God who spoke galaxies into existence sings over you. Not because you’re perfect. Not because you’ve got it all figured out.
But because you are His. When you smile, He smiles. When you cry, He draws near. And when you doubt, He whispers, “You are mine. I made you on purpose, for a purpose. ”So, no, you were never a mistake.
You were never an afterthought. You were God’s idea. And that means your life carries immense value and divine intention.
Friend, the same hands that flung the stars into space took the time to form you. The same voice that thundered at Mount Sinai also speaks softly over your life, saying: “I made you. I chose you. I love you.”
God’s dreams for you are bigger, better, and more beautiful than anything you can imagine.
When He looks at you, He sees who He created you to be, not just what you’ve done. So today, lift your head. You are loved. You are wanted. You are God’s dream come true. (VICKY LUDICK)
