SOUTH WESTERN DISTRICTS’ top cricket umpire, André Olivier, has successfully completed the Cricket South Africa national umpire examination and with that met the minimum requirement in passing the exam.
This achievement will ensure his elevation to the CSA reserve list panel of umpires which will be announced at a later stage.
Olivier – a former first-class provincial cricketer – started his umpiring career in 2014.
He joins Faizel Samsoodien (a former umpire) as the second SWD umpire to be included in the CSA reserve panel.
