Owners Jasmine Africa and Dean Evrard recently opened the doors to their dream, Ebony & Ivory Restaurant, situated at 89 Baron van Reede Street, Oudtshoorn.
As the name suggests, this new venture has its roots in a special love story. A Belgian man fell in love with a South African woman. While watching the film, Guess Who, the famous song from Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder was playing. This was “Ebony and Ivory”, and they instantly knew that this was the perfect name.
The décor was meticulously chosen, with beautiful accent walls and even a stunning black grand piano in the bar area. Tastefully chosen artwork adorns the walls, and glass accentuates polished silver.
Guests can enjoy classic South African dishes, with an elegant twist, carefully plated to perfection. There are even Belgian surprises and mingling flavours.
Don’t forget to try the Belgian beer, which will not only quench any diners’ thirst, but also bring a smile to your face.
They are open from Wednesday to Friday 17:00 – 22:00 and 12:00 – 22:00 on Weekends.
