THE current resurfacing of CJ Langenhoven Road in George between the George Hospital and York Street will impact on road users until September, according to the Western Cape Department of Transport and Public Works. The resurfacing includes the repair of sections of stormwater and kerbs.
During resurfing Langenhoven Street will at times be restricted to one-way traffic, with traffic managed by means of a stop and go or rerouted.
The department warned drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians to exercise extreme caution, especially during wet conditions when visibility is poor and at night. Vehicles with low profile tyres and motorcyclists must take extra care.
