Granwille recognised for commitment to sport

Die Hoorn is proud to celebrate a special milestone achieved by our sports journalist, Granwille Goliath, who has been recognised by Alpha Football Club Oudtshoorn for his outstanding contribution to local sport.

Having been part of the journalism team for just nine months, Granwille received a token of appreciation from the club in recognition of his unwavering support, encouragement and warmth towards the team and, more importantly, his commitment to youth soccer development in Oudtshoorn.

The award was presented during the club’s third annual Youth Day Soccer Tournament, held at the Infantry Sports Grounds.
He has become a familiar face on the sidelines of sporting events across the Klein Karoo and has gone the extra mile to ensure that local athletes and teams receive the recognition and exposure they deserve.

His passion for people, enthusiasm for sport and telling the stories behind the results have made him a valued member. We are incredibly proud of the growth Granwille has shown as a journalist.

His commitment to developing both his writing and his knowledge of local sport continues to shine through in every article he writes. Congratulations, Granwille, on this well-deserved recognition.
