From her humble beginnings in Oudtshoorn, where Chantell Davis embraced her school days as a Griffie at Van Reede Primary School, to overcoming personal obstacles such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and scoliosis.
Chantell reflects on her journey; and recalls overcoming many challenges and is thankful for the triumphs she has celebrated.
Today, Chantell and her family resides in the heart of Somerset-West, and is a beacon of resilience, courage, and unwavering faith. Chantell is a proud wife of Kevin Davis, a mother to four spirited boys, and now she wears the crown of Mrs Universe South Africa 1st Princess.
Chantell’s journey to the Mrs Universe South Africa crown, started in August 2023, and was not without its hurdles. Yet, alongside other remarkable women, she strode down the runway, not just in elegant evening gowns and resort wear, but in a costume that symbolized the resilience of our National Flower – the Protea.
But beyond the glitz and glamour of the pageant stage lies a deeper commitment – Chantell’s unwavering dedication to empower and uplift others. As a Pastor and a devoted follower of God, she sees her role not just as a mother and a wife, but as a beacon of hope and inspiration to those around her.
“I launched the #RespectHER movement,” Chantell shares with passion. “It’s about fostering a culture of respect and understanding, where both men and women can thrive and coexist harmoniously.”
Her words are not mere rhetoric. They are a call to action, an invitation to join hands and be part of something greater than ourselves.
Chantell’s warmth and authenticity shine through as she speaks about her desire to inspire young people to dream big dreams and never to give up, no matter what the odds are.
As Chantell continues to champion causes close to her heart, such as gender equality and the eradication of gender-based violence, her impact reaches far beyond the stage. She’s a true role model, reminding us of all that with faith, determination, and a little bit of courage, anything is possible.
In a world often filled with uncertainty and challenges, Chantell Davis stands as a shining example of the power of the human spirit to overcome adversity and emerge stronger, more resilient, and more compassionate than ever before.
Chantell is also the author of her Memoir – Royal Comeback. “This story depicts how I felt as a young teenager. I was looking for an escape from the prison in my mind, but the enemy was right there, like a roaring lion, waiting to devour me. I was utterly ignorant, unaware of the dangers ahead and the immense cost of following him,” she explains.
