ANIMALS in shelters was the topic of a workshop about animal welfare presented last week in Oudtshoorn and hosted by the State Veterinary Office from Oudtshoorn and Eseltjiesrus.
The workshop was presented by Dr Andrew Trawford who has managed projects in diverse locations such as India, Mexico, Egypt, Ethiopia and Kenya when he was the director of veterinary policy and development at The Donkey Sanctuary in England. After his retirement he became director at the Hope Zoo in Jamaica.
