Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced the fixtures for the women’s professional competition this week.
This will be the second season of the professional competition with the Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers being one of the six teams.
The format of the fixtures will be a 50 over limited over match on the Saturday followed by a T20 match on the Sunday.
The fixtures are: 12 & 13 October – Badgers vs Dolphins (Recreation Ground; Oudtshoorn); 19 & 20 October – Badgers vs DP World Lions (DP World Wanderers Stadium); 16 & 17 November – Badgers vs Dolphins (Hollywoodbets Kingsmead; Durban); 30 November and 1 December – Badgers vs Knights (Recreation Ground; Oudtshoorn); 14 &15 December 2024 Badgers vs Western Province (Recreation Ground; Oudtshoorn); 15 & 16 February 2025 – Badgers vs Titans (SuperSport Park; Centurion); 22 & 23 February 2025 – Badgers vs Titans (Recreation Ground; Oudtshoorn); 1 & 2 March 2025 – Badgers vs DP World Lions (Recreation Ground; Oudtshoorn); 8 & 9 March 2025 – Badgers vs Western Province (Six Gun Grill Newlands); 22 & 23 March 2025 – Badgers vs Knights (Mangaung Oval; Bloemfontein).
The contracted squad of the Garden Route Badgers for the 2024/25 season is: Professional contracts: Annerie Dercksen, Asakahe Nyovane, Gizelle Abrahams, Janè Winster, Julia Hoal, Khayakazi Mathe, Micaéla Andrews, Mieke de Ridder, Nadine Moodley, Nicolien Janse van Rensburg and Vuyolwethu Bonya.
High Performance Contracts were given to Jana Nell and Julandi Saayman.
