Cricket South Africa (CSA) is thrilled to unveil the nominees for the annual CSA Awards, set to take place on 05 September at Vodaworld in Midrand.
The evening will also celebrate the outstanding players in domestic cricket. In a significant development for women’s cricket, this year marks the introduction of several new categories, following the professionalisation of the women’s game into a top-tier Division 1.
Four players from the Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers are amongst the finalists. Blayde Capell, the top runs scorer in the Division 2 Four Day competition is one of five nominees in the category Division 2 Four Day competition player of the season.
Julia Hoal and Tabitha la Grange are nominees in the Women’s Domestic Newcomer of the Season category while Tazmin Brits is a nominee in the Women’s Division 1 One-Day and T20 category player of the Season. She won both awards last season.
