SWD Cricket honours employees for 20 years service

Three employees of South Western Districts Cricket (SWDC) were honoured with a 20 Years Continuous Service Certificate at the recently held SWD Cricket Awards function at the Wilderness Hotel in George.

The Chief Executive Officer, Albertus Kennedy, who was appointed as the General Manager in September 2004 with the opening of a full-time office administration received one award. The position has been upgraded to Chief Executive Officer in 2010. The second, Zenobia Nel, the Human Resource Administrator and Executive Assistant of the company, has been in duty of SWD Cricket since October 2004 when she was appointed as the Administrative Assistant.

Pieter Stuurman, who also represented SWD Cricket as a first class cricketer started as a Development Coach and has held the position of Club and Facilities Coordinator since 2012. In handing over the award, Adv Michelle Weyers, a non-independent director at SWD Cricket applauded the employees for the commitment, dedication and sacrifices in paving the success of SWD Cricket.
