The Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport bid farewell on Tuesday 27 August 2024 to Dirk van der Westhuizen of the Oudtshoorn regional office.
Van der Westhuizen was employed by the department for 35 years and was stationed at the Oudtshoorn office since March 1993.
He retired on 31 August 2024. Present at the function which was held at the Protea Riempie Estate in Oudtshoorn, were Albertus Kennedy (Chief Executive Officer SWD Cricket) Dirk van der Westhuizen and Dr. Lyndon Bouah (Chief Director Sport & Recreation at the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport).
