Facelift for the Bongolethu Clinic

THE recently upgraded Bongolethu Clinic in Oudtshoorn was officially opened by the Western Cape Minister of Health, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo, on Monday, 25 November.
The upgrading of the clinic was completed in August at a cost of R4,98 million.
The clinic had a desperate need for additional space because of the growing population in the broader community. .
“The upgrade of to the Bongolethu Clinic was in direct response to the community’s needs,” Mnombo said. “The upgrades include an enlarged waiting area, new multi-purpose room, a toilet for people living with disabilities, as well as changes to the dispensary and medical waste area.
“The department, is under enormous pressure in terms of our finances, but we are here today because we listened to the people of Oudtshoorn. We are giving you an upgraded clinic, with better services which you can be proud of.
“I hope the people of Oudtshoorn will take pride in it and treasure this asset.”
