Sussex Women crowned SWD division two champions

ON Sunday the women’s team of Sussex (154/4) were crowned the Six Gun Grill SWD Women’s Division 2 champions after they defeated Knysna Cavaliers (114 all out) by 31 runs in the final that was played at the Recreation Ground in Oudtshoorn.

The skipper of Sussex and a former SWD Women’s team player, Elzaan Pietersen, was the hero for the D’Almeida based team as she excelled with both bat and ball. She contributed and unbeaten 85* runs with the bat and took 4/18 with the ball.
