Calitzdorp Tourism recently reached a major milestone, marking its 30th anniversary during the organisation’s annual general meeting (AGM).
Founder Briëtte Barry shared how it first began, while former chairpersons also reflected on the highlights of their terms.
Guest speaker Louis Jordaan, Extension Officer for Gouritz Cluster Biosphere Reserve in the Klein Karoo, also entertained guests with his talk titled Familiarity Breeds Care.
Following the AGM, the celebration continued at the Calitzdorp Station with a bring-and-braai.
Members noted that for three decades, Calitzdorp Tourism has been a leader in the local tourism industry, and this success is attributed to its valued visitors, members, dedicated committee members, hardworking employees, and supportive partners.
The Calitzdorp Tourism Bureau is situated at 1 Van Riebeeck Street, Calitzdorp.
