The body of Christ had numerous words and prophesies for 2024 onwards, that we are entering into a new season.
A door is standing open, as written in Revelations 4:1: After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.
As I was preparing for an event to take the Oil of Gladness to the body of Christ, the Holy Spirit led me to the parable of the 10 Virgins. Matthew 25:1-13 NKJV: “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
“And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. Notice that the scripture states that it was nearly midnight.
Midnight implies the beginning of a new day, a new season. The wise had extra oil in their lamps. Oil in this parable represents the presence of the Holy Spirit. The oil that you receive spending time with God in the secret place. That which is produced through hardships, trials and tribulations. Being so dependent on Jesus and the Holy Spirit to fill up your lamp with fresh oil daily. Oil that will cost you. Time to press in and to put your first Love fire first. If we want to enter into, step into the new season, going through the open door, we need daily fresh oil. That which we only get on our own. We cannot buy from someone else their intimacy time with God and the Holy trinity. We can then enter before the door is shut. Be a lovesick wise virgin for our God. Let us sing His praises with king David.
Psalm 63:1-2(TPT): “O God of my life, I’m lovesick for you in this weary wilderness. I thirst with the deepest longings to love you more, with cravings in my heart that can’t be described. Such yearning grips my soul for you, my God! I’m energised every time I enter your heavenly sanctuary to seek more of your power and drink in more of your glory.”
Daily I will worship you passionately and with all my heart. My arms will wave to you like banners of praise. Psalm 63:5TPT: “I overflow with praise when I come before you, for the anointing of your presence satisfies me like nothing else. You are such a rich banquet of pleasure to my soul.” (By Elizma Verwey)
