BOPLAAS Family Vineyards from Calitzdorp received five gold medals at this year’s Veritas Awards, placing the Calitzdorp winery and distillery among the national competition’s best-performing producers. The medals were for white wine, brandy and port, and selected from just 128 gold medals awarded over the weekend.
Boplaas received gold for its Gamka Branca Family Reserve 2018, 8 Year Potstill Brandy, and three vintages of Cape Vintage Reserve Port – 2017, 2015 and 2006. Silver medals were also awarded for the Boplaas Touriga Nacional 2018 and Ring of Rocks 2017.
